WooCommerce payments in Nepal: what works today

If your shop runs on WooCommerce, local payments are where it gets specific.

Blog · 21 Oct 2026

What the shop needs at checkout

Customers pay with eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay QR, ConnectIPS or a card. The shop needs to know which one succeeded before it packs the order.

Three ways shops connect payments

  • A provider plugin. One wallet per plugin. Simple until a second and third provider arrive, each with its own callback code to maintain.
  • A payment link. Workable at low volume, but reconciliation stays manual.
  • A gateway behind the shop. The shop calls one API, the gateway handles each provider, and the order is marked paid only when the provider confirms.

Where Dhuri Gateway fits

Dhuri Gateway exposes one signed API for any app, with eSewa, Khalti, ConnectIPS, OnePG, Hamro Pay and Stripe behind it. Payment events are signed and the ledger is balanced. The ready-made connection today is the WHMCS module.

What is not built

The WooCommerce connection is not built yet, and we have not published a WooCommerce plugin. If you run a WooCommerce shop and want to connect it through the API, message us and we will tell you what it takes.
